Kobe

The Kobe office was established in 1965. The office has traditionally assisted shipowners and insurers presented with claims in Asia for cargo damage or various forms of average. The office is also often involved in the delivery of newbuildings, particularly in Japan and South Korea, and in the purchase and sale of second-hand tonnage when the closing takes place in North-East Asia.

Additionally, the office offers assistance to companies with non-maritime interests in Japan, including the establishment of business and contractual relationships, assistance in connection with negotiations and disputes, recovery of outstanding debts in Japan, etc. The office also advises Japanese companies on Norwegian law.
