New rules for Oslo Axcess and Oslo Børs
| 25th June 2007On 6 March 2007, Oslo Børs introduced a number of changes to the rules governing admission to listing. Briefly stated, the changes merge the SMB list and the Main List to create a single list for share trading on Oslo Børs. The changes also mark the establishment of Oslo Axess, an authorised market place operated by Oslo Børs. A number of changes were also made to the obligations of companies listed on Oslo Børs.
The rules come into force on 16 April 2007. In the case of Oslo Axess this entails that the new market place will
commence trading at the beginning of May 2007. At its meeting at the end of April, the Board of Directors of Oslo Børs will admit companies in accordance with the new rules. Accordingly all on-going listing processes are handled in
accordance with the new rules.
The following provides a summary of the general conditions applicable to listing on Oslo Børs and Oslo Axess, respectively. We also discuss certain key changes to the obligations applying to listed companies on Oslo Børs and the Oslo Axess.
