Clare Calnan

Clare Calnan is a Partner at Wikborg Rein's London offfice and is part of the firm's Shipping Offshore group.

Calnan's main area of practice lies within the shipping and offshore fields. She has a broad range of marine and offshore experience specialising in dispute resolution, mediation, commercial litigation and arbitration. Within shipping Calnan’s experience covers all aspects of the construction of ships together with their employment, operation and disposal. She has a particular interest in the long and short term sale and transportation of LNG. In addition her practice encompasses international trade, commodities, trade finance and marine insurance. In the offshore field Calnan regularly deals with a variety of commercial and operational issues with a focus mainly on disputes relating to the construction and operation of offshore units including FPSOs, drilling rigs and offshore production and supply vessels.

Calnan has lectured on international trade, marine insurance and shipping matters. She also arranges and runs seminars for clients covering shipping and offshore subjects and more recently seminars focusing on dispute resolution.
