Jon Heimset

Jon Heimset is a Partner at Wikborg Rein's Bergen office and is part of the firm's Shipping Offshore group. He has long experience from petroleum law, maritime law and marine insurance. Heimset advises Norwegian and foreign shipping companies, rig owners, suppliers, insurance companies, P&I clubs, shipyards, brokers and corresponding law firms on issues relating to charter-parties, offshore contracts for production, drilling rigs, accommodation rigs, FPSOs, drilling and maintenance of fixed installations, contracts for the building, conversion and maintenance of ships and rigs, average, apportionment of risk and insurance requirements.

He is co-author of "Handbook on Loss of Hire Insurance" (together with Haakon Stang Lund and Trond Eilertsen) written at the request of the Norwegian Hull Club.
