Aadne M. Haga

Aadne M. Haga is a Senior Lawyer at Wikborg Rein's Oslo office and is part of the firm's Energy Natural Resources group.

Haga is mainly occupied with energy law. His main focus of his practice has been assistance to buyers of natural gas, and he has successfully advised and/or represented a number of buyers of natural gas in international negotiations and international arbitration. Haga also regularly advises on the legal framework for physical and financial energy trading, including emissions trading, in Norway, and the Norwegian legal framework for energy infrastructure. Haga also handles Russia-related cases and has studied Russian and Serbo-Croatian.

Haga has previously worked for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Russia and for the Norwegian Armed Forces on the Balkans and in the Ukraine.

  • Extensive experience with price review disputes, also with competition law aspects, under long term gas sales agreements, hereunder arbitration pursuant to the Rules of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and the Rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce
  • Advice to gas buyers in negotiations of new gas purchase agreements and regarding inter alia volume and operational issues under current agreements
  • Advice on the legal framework for physical and financial energy trading, including emissions trading, in Norway
  • Advice on the legal framework for energy infrastructure in Norway, hereunder third party access and interconnectors
  • Participation in a number of acquisitions of petroleum producers on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
