Marie Efpraxiadis

Marie Efpraxiadis is a senior foreign lawyer at the Oslo office of Wikborg Rein and works primarily with international asset and project finance.

She has extensive experience in the shipping/offshore sector, acting for owners and banks on a wide array of transactions including syndicated loan financing, sale-leaseback arrangements, construction/conversion projects and operating contracts. She is also active in the area of development finance, advising financial institutions on development-oriented lending and equity investments in Africa and Southeast Asia.

Marie joined Wikborg Rein in 1995. She has also worked for several years as in-house counsel for an FPSO company in Switzerland and for a multinational shipping and engineering group in Geneva and Athens. During her time as in-house counsel she worked extensively with mega-yacht projects, including sale and purchase, construction, engineering, and chartering.

Marie is an English solicitor, a New York attorney-at-law and a graduate of McGill University, Canada, (B.C.L. civil law, LL.B. common law). She speaks English, Greek, French and Norwegian.
