Børre Gunnerud
Børre Gunnerud is a Senior Associate at Wikborg Rein's Oslo office and is part of the firm's Energy Natural Resources group.
Gunnerud mainly works with petroleum law, but is also experienced in contract law, general administrative law and competition law. His work has mainly been related to the petroleum industry such as gas sales agreements, construction contracts, licensing applications, license transfers and acquisitions. He has also worked with international contracts related to power production.
Gunnerud worked for two years in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, section for petroleum law. In the Ministry, he among other responsibilities worked with auditing and follow-up of concession documents, amending legislation and concession awards. Gunnerud worked with different aspects of general European law, and he also wrote his M.A. degree thesis on the EEC-agreement's restrictions on state regulation of gas sales agreements.
Since December 2006 Gunnerud has worked as advisor for the Cambodian government under a NORAD financed project. Gunnerud has spent long periods in Cambodia with responsibility for legal advice on development of petroleum legislation, capacity building and project coordination.
