Technology Media and Telecommunication law is a relatively new legal field, which is in swift development and becoming more and more important in our modern society. IT, Media and Telecommunication law includes elements of more traditional legal issues, such as company and corporate law, administrative law, competition law, contract law and intellectual property law.

The lawyers at Wikborg Rein have, through a comprehensive number of cases, developed substantial competence within this field. The firm’s IT, Media and Telecommunications group includes 10 lawyers with broad experience in IT, media and telecommunication related cases.

We have extensive experience in drafting contracts, both standard and custom-made. We also assist in negotiations with respect to contracts for purchase, licensing, development and management of software and hardware products and handle a variety of questions related to protection of intellectual property rights.

We render advice on establishing solutions for electronic commerce and questions related to management of such solutions, including drafting of distributor agreements, merchant agreements, user terms and other conditions related to e-commerce. We can also offer advice in relation to the development and management of electronic solutions for the public administration e.g public procurement.

We assist in relation to communications regulatory work e.g. in the preparation of hearing statements and with applications for and transfer and management of frequency licences. Our TMT team has extensive experience in privacy related matters. Our lawyers assist in legal matters related to telecommunications, broadcasting law, regulatory and competition law and legal disputes within the TMT sectors.
