Stephen Fordham

Stephen Fordham is a partner in the firm’s Singapore office, specializing in asset and project finance, and foreign direct investment (both debt and equity) into the Asia Pacific region. Since qualifying as an English solicitor in the City of London, ha has spent most of his professional life in Asia, working for an international law firm in both Hong Kong and Bangkok in the late 1970s, before moving to Singapore in 1983. He joined Wikborg, Rein & Co on 1st September 2003. During his time in Asia, he has worked extensively in the shipping and offshore industry sectors, and has developed in-depth expertise in the structuring of investments in the Asia Pacific region. In addition to his principal areas of practice, he has also acted as an arbitrator, and sits on the board of a number of substantial companies. Stephen Fordham is a graduate in Jurisprudence from Oxford University, and is qualified as a solicitor in both England and Hong Kong. He is also a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (FSIArb).
