Tormod Ludvik Nilsen

Tormod Ludvik Nilsen is a Senior Associate at Wikborg Rein's Shanghai office and is part of the firm's Trade Industry and Public Sector group.

Nilsen has broad international experience from various assignments in Europe, United States and Asia. His main areas of practice are contract advising in project negotiations and disputes associated with construction projects onshore and offshore. Nilsen is a trained arbitration and litigation lawyer. His experience includes handling of national and international arrest issues, enforcement and other jurisdiction and international private law issues.

Nilsen also has experience in assisting with sale, purchase, lease and development of commercial real property, and he has assisted key players in real estate market in all types of transactions.

Nilsen has extensive experience from working with governments around the world. He has assisted the Norwegian Ministry of Defence in i.e. the procurement of the Joint Strike Fighter, the Airforce’ new combat aircraft, and in the negotiation and establishment of the Strategic Airlift Capability Program, a defence cooperation program for a number of NATO nations for the procurement and operation of a highly advanced military transport aircraft fleet. Nilsen was Chairman of the Legal Expert Team and was elected as Chairman of the Procurement and Finance Working Group in this program.
