New Partners in 2022

We are pleased to announce that Snorre Nordmo, Hedvig Bugge Reiersen, Lars Erik Lien, Charlie Pope and Lars Erik Steinkjer have been appointed partners in Wikborg Rein from 1 January 2022.

Snorre-Nordmo.pngSnorre Nordmo received his Master of Laws degree in 2013 and has been with Wikborg Rein since 2021. Snorre is part of the firm's Capital Markets practice and is specialised in asset management and financial regulatory matters. He has broad experience within the industry from both a service provider and client perspective. Prior to working in Wikborg Rein, Snorre worked as a Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Sector Asset Management, as a lawyer at BAHR and as a Junior Attorney at Norges Bank Investment Management.

Hedivg-Bugge-Reiersen.pngHedvig Bugge Reiersen received her Master of Laws degree in 2006 and has been with Wikborg Rein since 2014. She is part of the firm's M&A and Corporate law practice. She is head of the firm's Company law practice group and of the Norwegian Bar Association's Company law committee. Hedvig advises on private M&A transactions (mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations), and on day-to-day company law matters and corporate governance questions and incentive programmes. Her practice also included dispute resolution regarding company law matters. She has a PH.D. in Company Law from the University of Oslo and has written several books and articles on Company Law.

Lars-Erik-Lien.pngLars Erik Lien received his Master of Laws degree in 2009 and has been working in Wikborg Rein since 2011. He is part of the firm's M&A practice and has wide expertise within business law, and especially within M&A, corporate-, accounting-, and stock exchange law. Primarily, he advises clients on sale and purchase of companies and businesses, mergers, demergers and other equity transactions. In addition to being a lawyer, Lars Erik is an authorized Financial Analyst, and he also has a master’s degree in accounting and auditing. Thus, he often works at the interface between law and economics.

Charlie-Pop.pngCharlie Pope became a New York qualified lawyer in 2013 and came to Norway in 2014 where he started working as a Senior Legal Counsel with DNO ASA. He has been working with Wikborg Rein since 2018. Charlie is part of the firm's Energy & Renewables practice. He advises clients on international energy projects and disputes, with a particular focus on matters in emerging and frontier markets. He also counsels the firm's clients on US transactions, sanctions and trade compliance.

Lars-Erik-Steinkjer.pngLars Erik Steinkjer is a graduate of the University of Bergen, and was employed there as a research fellow and university lecturer from 2004 to 2010. He took his PhD degree in Bergen, on patent protection for biotechnological inventions. From 2010 to 2019, he worked at Wikborg Rein's office in Oslo, where he was part of the Intellectual Property practice / Tech team. From the summer of 2019, he has worked as an in-house lawyer at Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS), and will now return to us.

Appointed Specialist Counsel

In addition to our five new Partners Stuart Stock is appointed Specialist Counsel.

Stuart-Stock.pngStuart Stock has been appointed Specialist Counsel and has been with the firm since 2016. He is part of the firm's Competition Law practice and he advises on all aspects of EU, UK and Norwegian competition law, with a particular focus on multi-jurisdictional merger control and investigations. Stock is a qualified Solicitor in England and Wales and has previously worked in the competition law team at a major international law firm in London as well as for the UK competition regulator, the Competition and Markets Authority.
