The industry’s most attractive employer
For a ninth consecutive year, Wikborg Rein has been awarded best law firm to work for by Norway's legal students.
We are once again honoured with the confidence that the country's legal students have shown in us by ranking us at the top of the Universum survey. Winning this award for the last nine years in a row is an affirmation to the contribution made by many here at Wikborg Rein, especially in today's competitive market. Thank you so much to all the students who voted for us." says Managing Partner Finn Bjørnstad.
The Universum student survey is conducted annually, and this year 440 legal students voiced their opinions on Norway's most attractive employer in the legal sector which is measured with a question - Who is your dream employer? Wikborg Rein achieved the highest law firm ranking with 21.3 per cent, coming in behind the Norwegian Police Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Such surveys are of great importance to us as an organisation. It emphasises the value we see in mentorship, delivering student-focused activities and our trainee programme, and ensuring that we don't lose those valuable relationships with the students who come to us as trainees or for work experience." says Bjørnstad.
Heidi Skuterud, Director of People & Culture, is also pleased with the results.
“During the pandemic, many student activities such as Arbeidslivsdagene and lectures had to be carried out digitally. I was very impressed with how the students, lecturers and others involved adapted, pretty much overnight. Now that we are back to delivering in-person activities, we are looking forward to being able to do so for the students. There is no doubt that meeting with them face-to-face is of great value to us, and I think the same applies to the students." Skuterud points out, and emphasizes that competition for the biggest talent is tough.
It is therefore absolutely crucial that we work together to maintain our good working environment, our professional strength and our position with our students. We will continue with the hard work, while increasing our focus going forward on diversity and sustainability, and at the same time strengthening the «we» culture in the company," says Skuterud.
Jørgen Vangsnes (Partner responsible for recruitment), Finn Bjørnstad (Managing Partner), Heidi Skuterud (Director People and Culture), Erlend Ose (Trainee committee) and Cecilia Mathisen (Head of HR) received the Universum diploma Thursday evening.
