Johanna is an Associate at Wikborg Rein's Oslo office and is part of the firm's Technology and Digitalisation practice. She specializes in matters relating to data protection, privacy and digitalisation, with particular focus on implementation of data protection compliance and related assistance but also has experience in IP and marketing law as well as IT and information security.
She holds an LL.M. degree in Information and Communication Technology Law from the University of Oslo and a master's degree from the University of Iceland. Her dissertation related to the concept of "transfer" of personal data, and she has considerable experience from working with matters relating to transfer of personal data across borders, such as binding corporate rules and the practical implementation of such rules in multinational companies.
Johanna has had several traineeships in various law firms and companies, most notably in Equinor ASA (previously Statoil ASA) and has been working with data privacy related issues since 2015, both as a trainee and an associate. Despite her young age, she has a broad and practical experience from working with data protection and privacy, both as an external advisor, but also from the internal business perspective, having a few years secondment in a multinational Norwegian company, where she gained broad experience with data protection and privacy and the practical implementation of the data privacy requirements into all aspects of the business.
She is often used as an external examiner at the University of Oslo for matters relating to data protection and privacy.
