Charlie Pope is a Specialist Counsel in Wikborg Rein's Oslo office and a member of the firm's Energy & Renewables practice. Charlie advises clients on international energy disputes and projects, with a particular focus on matters in emerging and frontier markets. A New York-qualified lawyer, Charlie also counsels the firm's clients on US transactions, sanctions and trade compliance.
Charlie's dispute resolution work focuses on international arbitration and cross-border litigation. He frequently advises on high-stakes disputes involving states and state-owned entities, as well as on commercial disputes before courts in foreign jurisdictions.
Charlie also maintains an active transactional practice, covering both renewable energy and upstream oil and gas, with a concentration on the issuance and restructuring of debt financing.
