About Lesley Tan

Lesley is part of the firm's Projects Singapore practice. She began her career with Wikborg Rein in the Singapore office in 2007 before moving to the London office in 2010, where she stayed until 2021. Lesley specialises in project and asset finance, primarily for shipping and offshore clients. She is regularly instructed as lead counsel by both borrowers and lenders and has particular expertise in managing cross-jurisdictional transactions. These include a USD 690 million credit agreement with a Chinese bank for the financing of 10 container ships and a USD 200 million refinancing over 13 bulk carriers. Lesley assists clients with closings, deliveries, sale and leasebacks, advice on construction contracts and financing, corporate due diligence, sale and purchase of vessels and ship registration. Lesley is qualified to practice both English and Singapore law. She speaks English and Mandarin.
