Haakon Blaauw is a Partner at Wikborg Rein's Bergen office and is mainly assisting larger financial institutions including investments and commercial real estate; the public sector with major procurements concerning the defence sector (including the next generation of combat aircraft: F-35 and the JSM missiles); and petroleum related industry including suppliers to offshore operators. The transactions often include cross border activities. He has participated in considerable restructurings within Norwegian commercial life, and has broad experience in litigation before Norwegian courts of law, and in international arbitration. Blaauw is recommended by Chambers and Partners as "Leaders in their field" in the category Dispute resolution. Blaauw initiated and took part of establishing Wikborg Rein's Bergen office in 1978. He was admitted to the Norwegian Supreme Court in 1992 and holds an LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School.
