Goldfarb is a Partner at Wikborg Rein's London office and is part the Shipping Offshore group.

Goldfarb's practice focuses on the development and finance of offshore energy projects, with a specialist focus on the LNG sector. He advises on project tendering, vessel construction, EPCIC, financing, sale and purchase and leasing arrangements in respect of FSRUs, LNGCs, FLNG, FPSOs/FSOs, drilling units and drillships. He acts for some of the leading vessel owners and energy contractors, and handles a wide variety of projects in the oil and gas sectors. Goldfarb has been particularly active on Floating Storage and Regasification (FSRU) projects in the LNG sector, advising on projects in Indonesia, India, Brazil, Dubai, Jordan and Jamaica amongst many others, as well as being at the forefront of the FLNG sector, having advised on one of the first floating liquefaction projects to be successfully implemented, in Cameroon.

Regularly advises on long term and short term shipping time and spot charters, and has represented a number of owners in negotiations with major international charterers such as BG, Shell, ENI, GDF Suez, Chevron, and Maurebeni._NEWLINE_Regularly advises on LNG and FSRU newbuilding and conversion contracts with the major Korean, Japanese and Singaporean shipyards. _NEWLINE_Advises owners on the shipbuilding and long term chartering elements of shipping project tenders, starting with Rasgas and Qatargas, through to Petronet and Yamal. _NEWLINE_Represented various owners in respect of numerous FSRU tenders, including Brazil, India, Egypt, Lithuania, Fujairah, Uruguay, Chile and the Ivory Coast, and advises regular on pre-qualification documents, tender documents (including the qualification of time charters, leases, O&M contracts and EPCIC contracts) and liaising with a network of local Counsel in the various jurisdictions._NEWLINE_Led the team which represented Golar on their 10 year lease of an FSRU to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Jordan, from initial expression of interest through the tender phase and negotiation of and entry into the lease. The project was signed on 31 July 2013. The FSRU will be moored at a purpose built structure to be constructed by the Aqaba Development Corporation off the Red Sea port of Aqaba. Capable of storing 160,000 cbm of LNG and delivering up to 500 MMSCFD with a peaking capacity of 750 MMSCFD, the FSRU will connect to the Jordan Gas Transmission Pipeline that delivers natural gas to power plants throughout Jordan._NEWLINE_Led the team which represented Golar LNG on their 11 year time charter with PT Nusantara Regas (PTNR - a joint venture of Pertamina and PGN) for the provision of a FSRU and associated mooring infrastructure. This project was Indonesia’s (and Asia’s) first ever FSRU. The team advised Golar on the initial stages of the project, through the tender process and negotiation of and entry into the long term time charter. The regasified LNG will be supplied by PTNR to Indonesia’s state owned electricity company PLN as a replacement for high speed diesel._NEWLINE_Led the team which represented Golar LNG on their Liquefaction Tolling Agreement with Perenco and Société Nationale Des Hydrocarbures for Golar's first operational FLNG unit, Hilli Episeyo, operating offshore Cameroon._NEWLINE_Represented an owner on the proposed purchase of a fleet of LNG carriers, and coordinated the due diligence operation in respect of reviewing all vessel employment contracts._NEWLINE_Advised the seller/charterer on the sale and leaseback of two LNG carriers._NEWLINE_
