Mira Levánd Bergsland is a Senior Lawyer at Wikborg Rein's Oslo office and is part of the firm's Restructuring and Insolvency practice, as well as the Financing practice. Bergsland's main areas of practice relate to insolvency and bankruptcy law and company law, where she provides advice within a wide range of issues related to the operations of companies in financial distress.
Bergsland works with restructuring projects with a special focus on insolvency and director's liability, and she works closely with the boards of directors of the distressed companies. She has experience from complex and comprehensive restructurings of Norwegian companies in the oil/shipping sector. Bergsland's practice also include administration of bankruptcy estates, where she has been part of the teams administrating the bankruptcy estates of Faktor Eiendom ASA, Aksjespareklubben TA-Invest, Sydvaranger Gruve AS and Veireno AS.
Bergsland has previously worked as a deputy judge with Oslo Byfogdembete, a court in Oslo who specializes in bankruptcy-/insolvency-, legal enforcement and provisional security cases.
