Tove Øymo is an Associate at Wikborg Rein's Oslo office and is part of the firm's Technology and Digitalization practice.
She has a masters degree in law from the University of Bergen, and an LLM in Intellectual Property & Information Law from King's College London. During her LLM she specialized in international and comparative trade mark and unfair competition law, copyright law and EU Competition law. She also audited a practice project about the global digital enforcement of intellectual property and information technology.
Tove received a distinction for her master thesis written as part of her LLM degree, under the supervision of Dr Frederick Mostert. The thesis is titled "Is the future of trade marks black and white? A study of colour mark registration, colour depletion and proposition of structural changes to the trade mark system". The thesis is available online as part of the Dickson Poon School of Law Digital Communities Lab.
