Trond Eilertsen is a Partner at Wikborg Rein’s Oslo office. His main areas of practice are matters relating to shipping and maritime law, contract law, insurance law and financing. He has extensive litigation experience before the Norwegian courts and in arbitration proceedings, and has been used as an arbitrator in Norway as well as abroad. Eilertsen has been an examiner and supervisor at the Faculty of Law in Oslo, Institute of Maritime Law. He has been Wikborg Rein's Chairman of the Board from 2007-2014 and he also managed the firm’s office in Kobe, Japan, for three years. Eilertsen has had various directorship positions across the maritime industry, including marine insurance, shipping and offshore operations, marine service companies and investment funds. Eilertsen is admitted to the Norwegian Supreme Court and is recommended by Chambers and Partners as "Leaders in their field" in the categories Shipping: Corporate/Commercial, Litigation.
