Collaborating to Transform Shipping: Meeting IMO GHG Targets for 2030 and Beyond

As a new year dawns, the maritime industry is one step closer to the ambitious targets set in the IMO's revised greenhouse gas (GHG) strategy. Of particular note are the 2030 targets, which set out to reduce the carbon intensity of the global fleet by at least 40% as compared to 2008 - with further reductions planned in the medium and long term. Meeting these targets will require collaboration on a global scale, spanning knowledge, equipment and technologies, ways of working, human skills, financing and more. The Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce recently hosted an enlightening event featuring a panel of esteemed maritime experts from the United Kingdom and Norway.
