More about Aksel

Aksel is part of the firm's International Arbitration Team, and works primarily with international arbitration and contract law. Aksel assists with, and advises on, issues relating to international contracts and their background law, including the CISG, and disputes relating to these. This includes regulatory and competition law aspects related to gas markets and transport of natural gas. Aksel also advises on international arbitration matters, and is experienced with both ad hoc and institutional arbitration (ICC/SCC). In addition to Norwegian and English he speaks German fluently and understands French. Aksel has a particular interest in international arbitration, international private law and contract law. He has previously held a position as research assistant at the Institute for Private Law, University of Oslo, where he wrote his master thesis on document production in international arbitration. Aksel has also been a lecturer at the University of Oslo, teaching contract law. He has also coached the University of Oslo Vis Moot team.
