The decision relates to an application pursuant to s.45 of the Arbitration Act 1996 for the determination of a point of law by the Court. The point related to the way in which the limitation sum under Article IV (5)(a) of the Hague Visby Rules ("HVR") is to be calculated where there is both physical damage and economic loss to the cargo.

Iliana's contentious experience as part of the London Shipping Litigation team includes work on a number of LMAA Arbitrations, Commercial Court proceedings and mediations. Iliana is predominantly supporting the Greek market. She has been working on a wide range of dry shipping matters including Time / Voyage Charterparties, Bills of Lading, Contracts of Affreightment and MOA disputes. 

Iliana has completed a secondment at WR's Singapore Projects team whereby she gained experience assisting with the drafting of Charterparties, conducting due diligence projects and vessel Sale & Purchase transactions.
