Karoline advises alternative asset managers, professional investors and other industry players on a wide range of matters. She has a strong track record of project managing fund establishments and launching management companies (including spin-outs), across various asset classes, including private equity and venture capital, fund-of funds, real estate, infrastructure, private credit and hedge funds. Karoline supports managers and funds at each step of their lifecycle – from marketing, drafting of relevant documents, fundraising and investor negotiations to day-to-day operations, including corporate governance, compliance matters and fund liquidations. She frequently represents professional investors in fund transactions, including primary commitments, secondary sales and purchases, co-/direct and rollover investments. This includes providing tailored fund due diligence processes, negotiating terms, side letters and handling onboarding processes. Karoline's experience spans various corporate matters, including leading several M&A transactions and venture capital investments, across multiple sectors and strategies. Prior to working at Wikborg Rein Karoline worked as a lawyer in the Asset Management and Private Equity practice of BAHR (2016-2021) and as a Senior Compliance Officer at Statkraft (2021-2022).
