More about Maria

Maria is an international dispute resolution lawyer. She acts for clients in contentious dry shipping matters and general commercial disputes. Maria’s experience spans arbitrations conducted under all major arbitration rules (LMAA, ICC, LCIA, SIAC, English ad hoc, SCMA and others) as well as litigation before the English courts. She has also spent time on a client secondment with a shipowner focusing on charterparty disputes. Prior to joining Wikborg Rein, Maria worked in arbitration practices in London, Paris and Athens, representing companies, States and state-owned entities across a range of industry sectors. Maria is a Solicitor of England & Wales, and is also qualified in Greece (Athens Bar Association) and France (non-registered/non-practising). She is fluent in English, Greek and French.
