More about Matias Alexander Baltazar

Matias provides advice in a number of specialist areas, including employment law, procedural law, contract law, construction and real estate. He regularly assists companies with negotiations in and outside the courts, and in arbitration proceedings. Matias also works with transactions, due diligence and has experience with the design and negotiation of commercial agreements. On several occasions, Matias has held courses and lectures on employment law topics, such as whistle-blowing cases and harassment. Matias holds a master in Law from UiB, where he specialized in dispute and procedure, and wrote a master's thesis on the statute of limitations for breach of contract and compensation claims. From the same university, he received a "letter of recommendation" after winning several moot courts and negotiation competitions, nationally and internationally. In addition he received a testimonial from justice Tønder from the Supreme Court of Norway. He is also a moot court supervisor at the Faculty of Law in Bergen. In addition to Norwegian and English, Matias understands Portuguese. He has a particular interest in assisting companies with strategic advice at the cross-section between law and politics. Among other things, he has been an elected official and a political adviser, and thus has in-depth knowledge of decision-making processes in administration at municipal, county and state level.
