The Russian invasion of Ukraine continues to cause uncertainty in the marine insurance market, in particular as a result of a potentially large number of total loss claims from owners of vessels that have been trapped beyond 24 February 2023, which marks the one-year anniversary of the full-scale invasion.

Sindre advises Norwegian and international shipowners, insurers and others within the maritime sector. He has particular experience with cross-border disputes and has assisted in both institutional (ICC, SCC, LCIA, LMAA and NOMA) and ad hoc arbitrations. 

Sindre has also assisted with the investigation and handling of marine casualties in Norway and abroad. 

He holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Oslo, and is dual qualified as a Norwegian lawyer and as a Solicitor of England & Wales.
