The Oslo Stock Exchange has introduced Euronext ABM Fast Entry as a new bond listing segment. The Fast Entry segment lowers the barrier for bond issuers to enter the Norwegian market and comply with their listing obligations.
Direct lending has so far been largely absent in the Norwegian market due to regulatory constraints. However, the regulatory landscape is about to change which will present new possibilities for non-bank lending.
In early October 2019 Teekay Shuttle Tankers LLC (“Teekay”) successfully placed its USD 125 million inaugural green bond, the first green bond to be issued in the Nordic markets by the maritime industries.
