Wayne joined Wikborg Rein direct from a 27-year career at sea where he sailed for almost ten years as Master onboard a variety of vessels. His career started out at James Fisher Tankships, working on coastal product tankers trading between the UK and Europe. Since then he has sailed onboard VLCCs, Paper Product Carriers, Fisheries Patrol Vessels, Ferries, Tugs, Tanker Assist Vessel and Aggregate Dredgers. Wayne also qualified as a pilot on the river Humber and is a Trinity House (Hull) certified deep sea pilot. Assisting large PCC and PCTC vessels throughout Northern Europe. Wayne assists in the firms Maritime and Offshore Emergency Response team and is primarily involved in the investigation and handling of casualties worldwide advising shipowners, P&I clubs and H&M insurers in the aftermath of collisions, groundings, fires and pollution as well as other major casualties. He travels widely on a variety of matters, including collisions, groundings, salvage, fire and pollution incidents.
