More about Ingunn Bruvik

Ingunn’s core expertise is in competition economics. She has particular experience in the assessment of mergers and acquisitions, the assessment of cooperation between undertakings and conduct investigations, as well as in analysing firms’ market power and behaviour in the market. Her experience with competition cases and projects covers a wide range of sectors, including electronic communications, energy, groceries, publishing, construction and manufacturing. Ingunn has also contributed to the evaluation and revision of competition law frameworks and guidelines, and has on several occasions represented the Norwegian competition authorities in working group meetings organised by the European Commission. Since autumn 2024, Ingunn has been engaged as a Senior Economist at Wikborg Rein, where she has assisted in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other competition matters. Since 2022, she has been a Senior Manager at Oslo Economics. Previously, Ingunn spent 17 years at the Norwegian Competition Authority, including roles as Head of Section, Head of Investigations, Project Manager and Special Adviser in the Chief Economist team. In 2016, Ingunn was recognised as one of the “30 in their 30s – notable women competition professionals” by Women@Competition and PaRR Global. Ingunn holds degrees in economics ("siviløkonom" and "samfunnsøkonom") from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), with additional education in European competition law from King’s College London. She has also completed several formal leadership development programmes, including the Solstrand Programme for Young Leaders.
