Gisken assists with dispute resolution and counselling within several areas of maritime law, including questions related to marine insurance, charterparties, limitation funds, as well as general contract law. She has experience from litigation before ordinary courts and arbitration. Her experience also covers work related to marine casualties. 

Gisken has particular expertise on questions relating to the liability of classification societies for breach of ship safety regulations within the law of tort and wrote her master's thesis on the topic.
