Main sponsor of Juristforeningen

Wikborg Rein is the main sponsor of the student organisations, Juristforeningen in both Oslo and Bergen, a role we have held for many years. We maintain close contact with law students throughout their studies through activities such as orientation weeks, academic collaboration, Career Days (ALD), exam-focused lectures at the faculty in partnership with Fagstyret ("The Academic Board), and guidance in the moot court competitions. It is truly inspiring to contribute to the development of tomorrow’s lawyers!

About Juristforeningen in Oslo

Juristforeningen was founded on February 1, 1908, and is the largest student organisation at the Faculty of Law in Oslo.

Initially established as a professional association for law students and legal candidates, since 1923 it has been purely a student association. Over the years, the association has grown and adapted to new times and students, while maintaining its traditions and long-standing connections with associations at other law faculties in the Nordic countries.

Since its inception, Juristforeningen has been a proud provider of festivities, academic activities, and community spirit in an otherwise serious academic environment. Juristforeningen organises a number of key events at the Faculty of Law in Oslo, such as Justivalen, HumAk, Career Days, the Juridiske Winter Games, the moot court competition, and orientation week. The various activities are organised into several subcommittees, as well as internal boards and the leadership team.

About Juristforeningen in Bergen

Juristforeningen was established on January 26, 1949. Approximately 20 years before its establishment, a group of students gathered in the city and began forming a community. At that time, there was no organised mandatory participation in the studies, and the legal study environment in Bergen was characterised by a dispersed and fragmented nature. It was only when more mandatory assignments were introduced and students spent more time at Dragefjellet that student activities started to take shape and organise in a more structured way, laying the foundation for today’s student association.

The association is a central part of the legal student community in Bergen and is organised into several subgroups for various activities within academics, culture, and sports.
