Maren Folkestad

Maren is part of the firm's Renewable energy and infrastructure practice.

Maren has expertise in the development, construction and transactions of solar- and wind projects across Latin-America, North Africa and Eurasia, and in particular in managing accompanying compliance risks. She is also experienced in the preparation of various forms of strategic development agreements and in establishing joint ventures within the renewable sector in Norway.

Maren is particularly experienced in advising clients within the energy sector on M&A activities in jurisdictions highly exposed to bribery. She has expertise in conducting anti-corruption risk assessments, third-party due diligence, designing and implementing corporate compliance programs and giving operational advice on international and national anti-corruption frameworks, including the Norwegian Penal Code, the OECD Guidelines and the World Bank framework.
